Systems 2007 Boland 32k Ultralight 2007 Boland design 32k Ultralight system with 5 Hours TT on brand-new envelope and basket. The envelope weighs about 60 pounds in its miniscule carry bag, and is constructed entirely of 1.3oz lightweight silicone-coated nylon (soarcoat). The envelope is built from 12 gores (consisting of 24 half-gores) with full-length load tapes. The direct-pull parachute vent is incredibly responsive. There is a fair amount of mouth damage from early flights which has been repaired by the previous owner/builder - a little haphazardly in a couple places, but structurally sound. If aesthetics are a concern, I can rebuild the entire lower portion of the envelope to six or eight feet above the mouth so it will be entirely new again ($600 extra). I can also design and build a scoop to fit this envelope if one is wanted. The 21x31x36" basket is constructed in the typical Boland style with aluminum tubing, steel wire cross-bracing & turnbuckles, cordura walls and a plywood floor, with a floating bicycle rim burner load ring (no uprights). The basket is very comfortable for solo flight, though there is just enough room for two skinny folks inside (or one average person and a tank). The basket is set up to carry one ten-gallon tank hanging from each end of the basket for a total of twenty gallons. The fuel hoses are manifolded for two tanks but can easily be converted to single-tank use if desired. One Balloon Works master and one slave cylinder are included as is the FireFly T3-017 burner and hoses. This system burns about 6-8 gallons per hour with two tanks and a 185-pound pilot. It will use even less than that when flying with one tank. It's a super fun system that maneuvers like a rocket and packs up tiny. Set it up yourself and go flying truly solo - who needs crew? :)
